Countess Emilia Plater is her name and she is named for a famous revolutionary of early 1800′s Poland. We thought that Emilia was a bit pugnacious if not downright pugilistic at first, so she needed a fittingly tough name. Turns out that Emilia is a really a big softy and was just shaking off some kennel rust, a common problem for dogs that have been incarcerated. She has been with me now for a sometime, enough time to know her well, and she is just a lover. She is only 6 or 7 years old but her greying face falsely suggests that she is much older. She can still move well, loves to run with me and can jump in and out of the mutt mobile with no problems. She has slept in my room the last several nights and had proven to be well house-trained. She had a couple accidents in the beginning but that was not indicative of her true patterns. She is extremely low maintenance and easy to handle, control, love and tolerate. She does extremely well with the big dogs up here and even tried her hand at play with Mr Kool before realizing that he is about 5 times her size. She’s got many years ahead of her and if you’re a boxer person, especially a Brindle boxer person, she is for you! Help us spread the word and find her a forever perfect home!
