![Joy Miller, a friend if the mutts, passed away with Grace April 16th and in lieu of flowers, requested donations be sent to Marley's Mutts. When the envelope came in the mail from her family, I wasn't sure what was. I read the marked obit and when I got to the bottom I had tears in my eyes. I felt so honored and proud for our cause to be mentioned in one of her final wishes. I glanced up at her picture, felt more tears, and felt a rush of peace and purpose. Peace that I have been seeking heartily and purpose inspired by her faith in us and our cause. What an amazing woman. Hopefully the picture does her justice because in the picture I'm looking at, her smile really does bring a sense of peace that I hope some of you will experience. Joy was "Lovable, adorable, inspirational, with compassion and charm she made every person and animal that she touched feel blessed; as she now resides in everything that we know and do that is good." Please honor her and us sharing this message. These images of Sally show her as we found her: chained, mauled and dying and how she is now: surviving and thriving and well on her way to complete recovery. She won't be up for adoption for a few weeks but we need to share her pick as much as possible so that we've got an adopter when the time comes. Thank you to her foster mom and to all of you that have been pulling for her. She's not just a rescue, she something more than that.
